#2 Light up Your Dreams

Rajasthan, India, renowned for its exquisite handicrafts and vibrant street performances, also faces challenges with the socio-economic status of its artisans and entertainers. In our second collaboration, we partnered with Dreamlamp Ltd, alongside the resilient children from the slums and gypsy communities of Rajasthan.

For this collaboration, we are grateful to Arturo Erbsman, founder of Dreamlamp and trusted local charities. At Dreamlamp the belief is simple: every child deserves the chance to light up their dreams. With this in mind, they have crafted a portable solar-powered lamp designed not just to illuminate spaces but to spark creativity, encourage personalization, and celebrate the unique identity of each child it reaches.

Recognizing the transformative potential of these lamps, we decided to distribute 150 pieces for this pilot project, aiming to bring light and inspiration to children who live in extreme poverty and makeshift camps without access to electricity.

Across six days Arturo Erbsman conducted a series of eight engaging workshops in Jaipur and Pushkar where children aged 3 to 10 were encouraged to unleash their creativity by drawing their dreams, hopes, and aspirations on a piece of paper which serves as a lamp filter. At the end of each session, they were taught the importance of renewable energy and sustainability and given a free lamp to take home to their families.

Our Project #2 Light up Your Dreams empowered children to dream boldly, create fearlessly, and believe in the limitless potential of their futures.
